The author received her PhD in Economics from Keio University, Japan, in 2017. After graduation, she spent three years teaching and researching at her alma mater, then returned to China and currently works as an Assistant Professor at the School of Public Administration, East China Normal University. Her research focuses on macroeconomics, public economics, and population and labor economics, and is organized around three main themes. The first examines the relationship between social security systems and household decisions—such as labor supply and fertility—within imperfect labor markets. The second looks at how older adults' labor force participation affects young workers' employment choices and fertility intentions. The third explores the links between female labor force participation, human capital accumulation, and fertility preferences. Her methodological approach relies on macroeconomic models, including overlapping generations (OLG) and dynamic general equilibrium frameworks, combined with quantitative methods. During her graduate studies in Japan, she received several prestigious scholarships, including Outstanding Graduate Student Scholarships from Nagoya University and Keio University, the Yamaoka Memorial Scholarship for International Students, and the Morikei & L.R. Klein Scholarship. She has led multiple provincial and ministerial-level research projects, such as the General (Youth) Project of the Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science Fund, the Shanghai Pujiang Program (Baiyulan Talent Program), and projects affiliated with the National Base for Intelligent Elderly Care. She was also honored as a Shanghai Pujiang Talent.
