Xinying Xiao, English Professor in the School of Foreign Languages at Jinggangshan University, holds a master’s degree in English Language and Literature from Shanghai Normal University and specializes in Translation Studies and Applied Linguistics. Her works “Unity of Science and Art. in Advertising Translation”, “On Ecological Constraints in Advertising Translation” and “Recontextualizing the ‘San-Sheng San-Shi’ Principle: Ecological Approaches to English-Chinese Advertising Translation” have appeared in Chinese Science & Technology Translators Journal, and the work “Towards the Three Principles for Translation of English Advertising Texts” has been published in the Journal of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. She has successfully concluded six provincial-level research initiatives as the lead researcher. Her current research explores the analyses and translation of the revolutionary linguistic landscape of Jinggangshan. She mainly teaches undergraduate courses in E-C/C-E Written Translation and C-E Translation of Chinese Political Texts.
